Alvaiázere is a small town (Vila) with 1685 inhabitants in the Portuguese region of Centro. It is the seat of a district (concelho) with 7287 inhabitants on an area of 160.5 km² (2011).
Alvaiázere is the administrative seat of a district of the same name (concelho) in the Leiria district. The neighboring districts are (starting clockwise in the north): Ansião, Figueiró dos Vinhos, Ferreira do Zêzere, Vila Nova de Ourém and Pombal.
